I looked at the site listing bad breeders. When I looked up one of the breeders on the list-here is what popped up:

Two Mashpee women, who are well-known to police because of charges earlier this year involving an illegal dog kennel, were arrested Wednesday evening after police say they attempted to sell drugs to an undercover officer.

Rebecca J. Clancy, 25, and Kelly F. Hayden, 25, were arrested after a month-long investigation stemming from a report of a stolen gun, Albert E. Todino, deputy chief of the Mashpee Police Department, said. Mr. Todino would not elaborate on the stolen gun investigation, but the back yard of the couple’s rented house in the Sea Oaks development off Route 28 was searched with a Barnstable County Sheriff gun-sniffing dog following the arrests.

The women were arraigned yesterday morning and bail was set at $500 cash each.

Wednesday afternoon, an undercover officer sent a text message to the suspects asking to buy drugs and police say a meeting was scheduled at The Barn grocery store on Route 28 just before 6 PM. After the women made the exchange of two 80-milligram OxyContin pills, worth $80 each, they were arrested, police said.

Ms. Clancy and Ms. Hayden were each charged with two counts of possession of a Class B substance with intent to distribute and conspiracy to violate drug laws. A bottle of pills that police said they found in the black Jeep that the women drove to the transaction was determined to be under the 14 grams required for trafficking charges.

Police also found a pair of blue pit bull puppies in the Jeep.

Mashpee Animal Control Officer Benjamin M. Perry Jr., who estimated the dogs were about eight or nine weeks old, took custody of the puppies and took them to the Animal Inn in Forestdale.

Police had a “no knock” search warrant that allowed them to enter the couple’s house once the drug transaction took place. Neighbors gathered in the drizzling rain Wednesday night to watch police search the house and the back yard, which police said had been under surveillance during the day. Mashpee Police Chief Rodney C. Collins said that no gun had been found as of press time but said that the investigation is ongoing.

Ms. Clancy and Ms. Hayden previously owned and operated Notorious B.L.U.E. Kennel at their former home on Algonquin Road in Mashpee, where they bred and sold pit bulls. Chief Collins said there is no court prohibition against the women having dogs.

They were arrested in January for assault, intimidating a witness, and threatening to commit a crime, after they were investigated for tracking down an East Falmouth woman in Hyannis and threatening to kill her. Later, the victim found the severed head of her pit bull, which she had boarded at the kennel operated by Ms. Clancy and Ms. Hayden, in a popcorn tin on the roof of her car. The victim had apparently crashed a car belonging to Ms. Hayden and when she did not pay money for damages, Ms. Hayden threatened to kill the dog, according to court records.

The women were also charged in January with forgery and uttering a false document after they were caught forging a Falmouth rabies vaccination certificate. Those charges were later dismissed.

The month-long investigation leading to Wednesday’s arrests involved members of the Cape Cod Drug Task Force, the state police, the Barnstable County Sheriff’s Department, and Mashpee police. Members of each were on hand at the bust.

Deputy Chief Todino said that OxyContin is one of the department’s priorities because it is so addictive. “It’s an understatement to say that it just ruins people’s lives,” he said.
