Okay, so I've not been here in a while - work likes to make my life too busy to post on the million and one forums I'm part of so, here it is for you all - it is a couple of days late. July 11th was his actual b-day.
It's surprising that time has gone by so fast. My beautiful baby boy was born on this day two years ago. He is a true "All American" dog and never does things without giving 100% of his tenacity and zest for life.
Never once did I think I'd really want to have a boy dog - after all, they cock their legs, they hump and chase girls. They're typical, irritating little monsters. Ryker has changed that about me. He is my buddy, he is my guardian as I sleep and he is the best boy puppy raiser I've ever met.
Right now, as I type, he's laying on the ground enjoying a couple of his presents. I'll post those photos later for you all to enjoy.
Less than an hour old.
One week old...
Two weeks - I knew when I held him he'd come home with me.
Three weeks and his first trip outside into the "forrest"
Four weeks and snuggling with his big sister, Luna.
And finally...seven weeks taking a snooze.
When Ryker came home, he experienced a lot. His ears were done, his life began anew with his big sister Luna and he grew, matured and learned.
Eight weeks - he showed is true 'tude.
He got baths and played with his sister and had lots of fun.
He got his "new ears"
He learned how to be a show dog...
He finished his Championship and learned to weight pull and earned his UWP. He got his CGC and started his health testing.
Whew! That's been a lot of work in two years for this little monster who stole my heart at barely hours old.
Thank you for being my shining star. My sweet little boy. With many years to come, we will show the world one person, one lick at a time what a truly awesome pit bull you are and what a truly awesome breed you represent.
