Little Rock Adopts Vicious Dog Ordinance
Jodi Preis
Bless the Bullys Tuesday night Little Rock city leaders voted unanimously to approve a vicious dog ordinance. It puts restrictions on pit bulls.
After weeks of discussions and amendments, the board of directors finally voted on the issue.
The ordinance requires pit bulls to be spayed or neutered and microchipped, among other things. It takes effect immediately.
City leaders voted on a vicious dog ordinance rather than a pit bull ordinance. They say the vicious dog ordinance only covers pit bulls right now, but it could cover other breeds in the future if any are deemed dangerous.
