Suggestions

Ok everyone I am going to go out on a limb here and just ask the masses what they would like to have added to this site as far as content. I would love to see a little more activity on here.

There is such a vast wealth of people and with people comes ideas and knowledge.

so don't be shy!! Tell us what you are thinking if you want you can feel free to PM myself, Joshua, Amy or Freekypixie with any suggestions that you might have.

The only suggestion I can make are dog contests, which basically everyone else has. Different classes and the board votes on who wins. At the end of the month, if you're dog wins you get a banner for your site w/ your dog and its placement on it.

It would bring more participation to the board, but its usually only for the contest.

I've thought about doing a monthly contest here but I havent thought about the banner idea...I like it I have been doing a contest in my myspace group for a while with great results so I guess we'll start one here as well using the same rules.

I think it would be really nice and even useful to some if we had a thread for people to post images that others can use to make banners, graphics and videos supporting Bullies. I am putting together a Calendar for my Cafepress shop and I'm in need of Bullie Pics to help me (all profit goes to shelters that do not euthanize Pit Bulls).

You should make a thread for this under pictures or rescue, I know alot of people would be willing to help you out. You should also post up your site under the websites topic

I have brought this up before to people but a pedigree database would be awsome.

how about doing something like rep points or something like that that is alyes a fun thing to do.

I dont know about the whole rep points deal.......I've seen it "abused" else where and never have agreed with it.

I guess we might could try it and see how things go, but I'd have to dig around and see what I could come up with.

A forum I frequent does the rep points, but you are limited to the amount of points you can give per day and depending on how much "power" you have to give. They used to have it where you can give negative, but they didn't like that idea and took that option away. So now it's just limited on how much you can give.

i would be glad to monitor the rep points . We can make rules aobut it like no slanderous remarks or bad words or stuff like that just simple comments expressing how you feeling about the persons behavior on the site. I think it is a good ideal you know what kind of person you a dealing with expecially new people. Of corse i think it needs to be setup where the rep points could be removed by a moderator due to abuse. and also we could have it where the rep points privlages could be taken away for abuse aswell.

Did you ever get Judy over here? She was interested that is for sure. She is an asset to any site she gets involved with. This site is doing fine from what I can see for as young as it is. It always seems it is going slow then one day it snow balls into some thing huge. Just stay clean and pure like you are and avoid the bull crap of another site. If you keep it real you can do better to avoid the cult like mentality of another site we all know so well. Point system can be fun and it can be abused. It can also be a source of jealousy as it seemed with me. I personally would like to avoid any such thing. One site can not cater to all mind sets. However this one does a good job at touching on nearly all of them. It is more like a family as it is. Which is way better than a buch of people pretending to be a friend but in truth waiting to shove a knife in your back. In other words though growth and activity may seem slow right now but over time it will grow, I feel you are on the right path and doing it just right. Give it a while longer. A year maybe. The pedigree idea is fine if you are into sharing peds. However it requires a very large data base and that cost a conciderable amount of money. I do feel that the contest concept is a fun idea and probably very worth while. Keep it fun and as a friendly competition. Just my thoughts.

I think adding to everyones profile would be awesome. I think something like myspace in a way. Were you can add photos to it in a way that it describes everyone and what they like. Photos, banners, music, and friends list all view-able on one page. The words in the profile page , you can't see them. They are the same color as the background. I like all the photo pages here. But it would be nice to see them as to what profile they are with to. When you just throw all of them together it gets kinda daunting to go through so many. I get side tracked before I make it to the end . I would love to see competition photos. Make a page were its the top champs listed. Like, beginners, then novices, then champs, then grand champs. But be only the dogs of the members here. A pic on the left. Then the pedi on the right. Or pedi at the bottom really big. Just something that I think would be attractive. Just my thoughts being opened here.....lol

I'd just like more activity too. Not too much. I like the way the members are selected on here. If more forums did the same, theyd have better results, such as this.
The people that are members here are full of info and know dogs well.
I will be thinking of ideas to post on here to try to get more people to post back.
I just need to get on here more, and see whats new. I ewas happy to see new posts today!
