Kind of weird...

How can I make my dog stop "loving" my couch? Since he is a showdog, neutering isn't an option for us.

if your constant "no's" are falling on deaf ears, then you gutta become very
consistent=ANYtime he even goes NEAR that couch do something he does not like so he associates the displeasure with the couch. ex. shake a can filled with pennies. most dogs hate that sound and at the onset of the "bad behavior" shake that thing like nobody's business (or find something displeasureable to do). pretty soon, he'll get the message. we have a very alpha female who like to hump the others=drives my hub CRAZY!!!! (makes me laugh at how upset he gets!!!) anyhow, the minute he gets up and heads towards her, she stops or she knows he's gunna give her a smack. i just yell at her and she usually stops.....

Thanks, i will find something obnoxious to make him quit! LOL. I think what is even worse than the fact he does what he does, is that he whines every morning at the same time to go into the living room....


Our female actually does the same thing but it's funny since 1. she is not a boy so no messes and 2. she's so tiny!

i ve heard of stuffed animals, leather jackets, and gunny sacks, but NEVER the couch! thats gotta make it hard to hang out and relax in the living room would he be doing it simply cuz she is?

Gosh IDK...really he will hump anything that he thinks will allow it...he TRIES our female and she WILL NOT tolerate it...our 6 month old male lets him, he lets my friend's male hump HIM but the couch is by far his favorite. Haha, yup the couch is a little creepy now, I just make sure to wash the blankets daily when i know he's been roaming the living room. He even has a favorite cushion. LOL.
