hey made a flirt pole about six months ago for my now 14 month old miss repo mark the day when she gave up all other toys for her flirt pole. she carries it around the yard taunting anyone in the yard be it the other dogs me or my guests.
i used a piece of 3/4 white pvc pipe about six feet long ran a sturdy 10' yellow rope through it tied about a foot of the rope up on the backside in a handle like knot on the other end (the front) i put a 99 cent tug rope
i found that when flirting her from stay to full charge at the rope rather than pulling the whole pole up everytime and back and fourth you can pull the handle knot right when she is gonna get the rope. she is expecting you to whip it so she jukes here and there ... however by timin' the pull i get her to pretty much go from full charge to full back flip 360's and such i will post a pick of it as soon as i can

prior to the pole
i used a 10' rope with the tug rope at the end and swung it around like a teather ball great results and it seemingly opened doors for her when it came to the spring pole AND FLIRTING.

I have been wanting to make one, I have just been lazy and now it is too cold. Maybe in a few months when it warms up, seems like it would be a great toy.

Oh yes.. my dogs love the flirt pole I made for them. I have it in my living room and I'll catch harley just staring at it.. but it's much too cold to play outside in the few feet of snow still covering my grass. I have tried playing inside without much success... since my house is mostly glass stuff and candles.. ummm.. yeah.. doesn't mix well with two large dogs! lol
