This is what i have found...Sorry it is not much

Boyles CH. Bolt Action ROM

Bolt Action is a Ch. as well as being a ROM dog with 5 points. He won 3 matches in Florida to gain his Ch. and was sold up North to Captain America who then matched him into Ch. Chaka at 40 lbs, 2 lbs lighter than his weight for the first 3 wins. Bolt Action lost in 1 hr 16 mins. Bolt Action is the sire of 3 Ch's and a Gr CH. He produced Ch's when bred to 3 different bitches

ooh thanks I missed those...

so you're a breeder? how do you breed for temperment since you can't really tell temperment from a pedigree? wouldn't it make sense to put temperment notes on pedigrees to give future gens of breeders an idea of what they are getting?

sorry for the abrupt and somewhat off topic question...i'm burning with curiosity about a lot of things....

and a dog named holly...that was the other one...supposedly a terror in the pit. I don't remember anything about her breeding off the top of my head..any match info or physical stats or peds for her or any of the dogs i've posted will be greatly appreciated. thanks for the tips on bolt action...

ooohh...be back....

Yes i agree you can't particularly go off pedigree being since you never met all the dogs in the pedigree and not knowing temperament but, I base mine off the parents of the dogs temperaments and the temperaments of the dogs themselves thats about as far as i can go sometimes others i have had the pleasure of knowing most of the dogs in the pedigrees as far as 4 generations back personally. That would be a really good idea for people to have up how the dogs temperament was but highly doubt many would do it since there are breeders out here breeding that don't give a crap about temperament just a pretty dog. i wish that it was easier to trace temperaments in specific lines.

i'm really interested in temperment right now. seems like you can glean tidbits of info on thetemperment of certain old dogs through stories and match descriptions and such and a little nuglet of temperment from photos but the picture remains frustratingly incomplete...

especially because most of the historical stuff seems to be on the most prolific and superior fighters but those don't seem to to be the sum and total of dogs that were bred back then..grrr...

is there any info anyone can direct me to about how things like weight pull came about and when the apbt first became involved? i'm wondering about trends as well. when and what was the pattern of increasing government pressure on dog fighting as opposed to the pattern of increase/increase of exposure of the apbt in other venues of work/sport?

ok i'm gonna stop now..for now...
