The Sugar Hill City Council tabled the Pit Bull proposal at
their working session, February 4. 2008, in order to gather
more information. They indicated their willingness to work
with residents of the City on this matter. The Mayor did
mention that the City had received a number of e-mails from
out of state, but they were more interested in working with
residents of the City. The Council asked three residents to
speak, one of which was Laurie Filsinger. Laurie was also
interviewed on Channel 46's 11:00 PM news and did a good
job. The Georgia Canine Coalition will continue to work
with the residents in educating the Sugar Hill City Council
that Breed Specific Legislation is a bad idea and does not
work.
