| The flirt pole is the cheapest toy I've ever gotten for the dogs (being as I made it) and it's the biggest favorite. Even the fat lab has a blast ripping around the yard chasing it. lol.
Total break down on cost for the flirt pole was, by the way:
$1.77 for 10ft of 1/2" PVC piping (I made 2 flirt poles - 5ft each)
$3.40 for 20 feet of 1/4" nylon rope (@ $0.17/ft) - enough for two flirt poles again.
$0.18 for 2 3/8" washers to secure the knot at the base of the pole.
Electrical tape was free since I already had it to put around the base.
And the toy was $2.49 @ Petsmart.
So, a grand total of just under $8.00 for two flirt poles.

I tried that and a lunge whip with bait on the end...both dogs murdered 'em.
