| ok for me personally i dont dig the cropped ears. especially the oones that make em look like a feeder dog (rabbit) on my females. i have had a male back in the day "SKunk Budz" rip who was given to me with the war crop. made him look like a warrior. . . .but it leaves em with no ear.. i do however enjoy the ears in the air thing. is there a taping method for uncropped ears or do the trim them down early in life then tape em.... how does that work?? i have a buddy with a great dane who without choppin the ears made em hang up. tampons and wrap . he said pick a desired point and tape for two weeks changin applicator ever 2-3 days. they look awesome. a lil help here | |

| What the OP is referring to is "rose prick" ears. It is done by taping or gluing the ear into place as a pup. If I am not mistaken it may HAVE to be glued not taped. I recently did some reading on this and will try to get the link to it for you. I only read over it quickly and it was quite interesting.
If I find it I will post it.

| i hear that glueing is better than stitching and or taping because it keeps from scaring and has no other healing problems that stitches does. Alot of the problem is with eithor stiching glueing and or taping is the dogs ripping it off.
There is a guy wont name any names but his dogs name is a/a IIIIV Chevy Red Dog but this guy that owns this dog illegally crops peoples dogs ears and this is how he does this. He uses scissors and a marker to do the cropping and Uses a type of glue to glue them. Of course this same guy uses an annastesia.
BUT i dont like this guy and if you want it done you should have it properely done at a vet.
