Well, we went to the snow pull in Leslie, MI today. Ryker took his second UWP leg (Yay!) today and pulled 423# (9x his weight @ 47#) at 11.06 seconds. He only needed 141# to qualify which was 3x his body weight. I definately found more areas of improvement to help him be a better puller. I don't push him yet as he's just 18 months. He was, however, a screaming mimi when he knew other dogs were in the chute to pull because he wanted to go and thought it was grand fun to be a brat and talk back until I finally told him to pull. He heard wait more times then he heard "Work!" today.
"What do you mean...'wait?!' I wanna pull...NOW!"
"OMG! I wanna go AGAIN!"
"Whee! Still havin' fun!"
Finally, he started to do what I KNOW he can do. Work! lol
"Okay, Mom! Too heavy now! I need your help! Help me!"
I fouled him out and ended it after I helped him get himself started to walk the rest of the way to end on a good note. He really loves doing it. It's definately been a learning experience with him.
